Establishing Children's Palliative Care in Ghana

The International Children's Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) and World Child Cancer-Ghana have successfully completed a one-year project to enhance children's palliative care in Ghana. The initiative, funded by Global Health Partnerships, reached over 2,500 health professionals and established palliative care services in 60 healthcare facilities across the country. The project included webinars, face-to-face training, and collaboration with the Association of Paediatric Palliative Medicine to provide education and support for healthcare providers. This effort aims to address the significant need for children's palliative care in Ghana, where over 137,000 children require such services annually.
