Despite affecting 33 million people around the world —almost equal to that of HIV—, rheumatic heart disease (RHD) attracts very little attention and even less funding. In this short film, the World Heart Federation follows the daily struggles of a young mother from Mozambique, who is diagnosed with RHD, to dive into the difficulties, the stigma and the lack of awareness surrounding this devastating disease.
