World Obesity Day 2026: Pooling knowledge, taking joint action

Obesity now poses a major global public health crisis, with more than a billion people living with obesity and prevalence rising in nearly every country. On World Obesity Day 2026 (4 March), this collaborative collection assembles key knowledge resources, latest publications, advocacy materials and country stories by Participants of the Global Coordination Mechanism on NCDs and WHO, with a specific focus on childhood obesity.
