But like other chronic diseases, the root causes of obesity run much deeper and can be genetic, psychological, social, cultural, economic and environmental.
Weight stigma is a global phenomenon that remains too often absent from conversations.
This brief aims to provide knowledge and advocacy tools to promote positive engagement and address health-related challenges, such as shaping the obesity narrative and transforming global perceptions of obesity.
