The workshop aimed to present the WHO Global Initiative on Childhood Cancer (GICC) and the WHO CureAll technical package to national policymakers and multidisciplinary providers involved in childhood cancer care in Egypt. The workshop sought to summarize the current landscape in Egypt by highlighting recent achievements in the field of pediatric oncology, while also identifying existing gaps and opportunities for scaling up related interventions. Based on this assessment, a multi-stakeholder action plan was developed to implement targeted interventions aligned with the CureAll technical package. This action plan serves as a strategic roadmap to support the effective implementation of GICC in Egypt, including in preparation for the national roll out of the WHO-St Jude Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines.
