Updated road map for an enhanced global response to the adverse health effects of air pollution

In May 2025, during the 78th World Health Assembly, WHO Member States adopted the Road map for an enhanced global response to the adverse health effects of air pollution (2025–2030). This strategic framework aims to reduce mortality from anthropogenic air pollution by 50% by 2040, emphasizing immediate action and integration into national policies by 2030. The roadmap supports the commitment to reduce deaths from air pollution as outlined in the WHO Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of NCDs.
