Scoping study on evidence to tackle high-burden under-researched medical conditions

A number of medical conditions are insufficiently recognised, diagnosed and treated due to a lack of knowledge, and may be under-researched, even though they are a major burden for patients and society. The EUHealthSupport Consortium conducted exploratory research for the European Commission into these so-called ‘high-burden under-researched medical conditions’. Four complementary perspectives were used to identify conditions with a high disease burden that may be under-researched.
