On the occasion of marking the first year of the KAP, the World Health Organization (WHO) is today launching the ‘Knowledge Action Portal 2019 Community Report’.
Alongside inspiring action, driving interaction, and supporting innovation, among Member States, UN agencies and non-State actors, this online community-driven platform has garnered a lot of attention and support from a range of global health professionals since its launch in November 2018.
This year’s report recounts not only the impact of KAP on the NCD community but also brings an abridged overview of the benefits that different stakeholder groups have from using this innovative tool.
Going forward, 2020 will see a greater engagement and mobilization of Member States and relevant national partners with coordinated support from WHO regional and country offices. Working towards making an impact on national levels, KAP has already proven to be an invaluable tool used to scale up action and facilitate collaboration. Its vision is to become the central focal point for NCD information, interaction and inspiration, uniting and catalyzing diverse stakeholders within the NCD and global health agenda.
Thank you for your support to date and we look forward to continuing the dialogue on how we can leverage this report and the platform to accelerate NCD action towards achieving our global NCD and NCD related SDG goals.
