Addressing Dermatological Needs and Challenges in Lebanon's Refugee and Local Communities

Press release describing the objectives and impact of the International Foundation of Dermatology (IFD) and Bridges2Health&Rights one-week medical mission (25 May - 2 June 2023) to provide medical assistance to local and displaced communities in Lebanon. Led by IFD Migrant Health Dermatology Working Group (MHDWG) and in collaboration with an international team, the mission aimed to address the skin and sexual health needs among the longstanding Syrian refugee community and local Lebanese citizens in Beqaa Valley. More than 150 dermatovenerologists and 12 other clinical workers provided medical treatment to 417 patients across seven different sites during the week-long mission.
