New global commitment to primary health care for all at Astana conference
24 Oct 2018
Global efforts to address diabetes and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have fallen short particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
The World Diabetes Foundation, the East African Diabetes Study Group, the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine, and the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy invite you to the Type 1 diabetes – Advancing a global road map for improved and integrated care in low-resource settings international meeting this February.
The international meeting on type 1 diabetes is organised within the framework of the Global Diabetes Compact and the new global targets for diabetes treatment coverage. It will bring together over 100 health systems leaders, experts, advocates, and early-career researchers from around the world to discuss essential strategies for improving type 1 diabetes care in low-resource settings.
The event will take place in-person in Copenhagen, Denmark and will also be livestreamed. Join us online from February 4 to 6, 2025, to gain insights into type 1 diabetes epidemiology, sustainable care strategies, and partnerships.
