KAP User Guide Series: How to search the knowledge repository and country stories

Here is how to search the knowledge and country story repositories on the Knowledge Action Portal on NCDs.

KAP users can search and browse the knowledge resource and country story repositories on KAP in several ways to find thematic reports, guides, articles, publications, statements, resolutions, as well as news and dedicated country stories discussing implementation challenges and first-hand accounts on NCD prevention and control and metal health care.

Exploring all KAP resources:

1. Access the Knowledge Action Portal on the KAP Home page.

2. Use the "Search..." field located at the top right (as seen in the image below) to search through all resources on the portal 

Exploring Knowledge Resources:

1. Access the Knowledge Action Portal via KAP Home.

2. Navigate to ''Knowledge'' by hovering over ''KNOWLEDGE'' in the main menu

2a. From here, you can directly fillter by the relevant condition, risk factor or GCM/GNP areas of work by clicking on the prefered item

2b. Alternatively, you can directly click on KNOWLEDGE in the main menu and use the page filters . Select the categories you wish to filter by, and then click "Apply". You can also hit "Enter" on your keyboard if you are on a desktop or laptop computer.

3.Acces the resources by clicking on their respective icon, and you will be presented with a page as seen in the image below.

3b. You can also search for specific authors by writing their name directly in the search bar as seen below

Follow this step-by-step guide to explore Country Stories:

1. Access the Knowledge Action Portal via KAP Home.

2. Navigate to ''Country Stories'' by hovering over ''ACTION'' in the main menu, and click on Country Stories as seen below

3. From there, you will be presented with an interactive map that can be used directly to filter and search stories by clicking on the selected country

4. By clicking on one of the blue spots, you will be presented with all country stories from the selected area

5. You can also opt to use the filter bar presented on the page in order to filter stories by GCM/GNP areas as well as the associated country(ies) or region(s)

3.Acces the resources by clicking on their respective icon, and you will be presented with a page as seen in the image below.
