Workshop: Scaling Grassroots Innovations through the Public Sector to Address NCDs

The WHO Global Coordination Mechanism on Noncommunicable Diseases (GCM/NCDs) is hosting a two-day capacity-sharing workshop titled "Scaling Grassroots Innovations through the Public Sector to Address NCDs" on 12 and 13 February 2025. This event will take place on the sidelines of the 4th Global NCD Alliance Forum in Kigali, Rwanda.

About the Workshop

This workshop focuses on identifying and validating the key components required to successfully scale grassroots innovations for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) through public sector systems. Participants will work together to analyze the enablers and barriers to scaling these initiatives, and explore opportunities for enhancing government capacity to support community-driven solutions. The workshop seeks to ensure that public health policies and programs are better equipped to harness and sustain grassroots innovations for NCD prevention and control.
