WHO Multistakeholder Briefing on the WHO/World Bank 2nd Global Dialogue on Sustainable Financing for NCDs and Mental Health

The World Health Organization (WHO) will co-host a Multistakeholder Briefing as part of the preparatory process for the WHO/World Bank Second Global Dialogue on Sustainable Financing for NCDs and Mental Health, to be held in Washington DC, 18-20 June 2024.

Purpose of the Multistakeholder Briefing

The Multistakeholder Briefing will be held to inform interested parties on key elements of the WHO/WB Second Global Financing Dialogue, including:

  • Context, process, engagement options, web-based consultation  and expected timeline
  • An overview of outlines and emerging key messages of the draft Technical Background papers, ahead of a 4-week web-based consultation.
Participants

The Multistakeholder Briefing will include relevant non-State actors, as defined by WHO’s Framework on engagement with non-State actors (FENSA); United Nations funds, programmes and organizations and other relevant intergovernmental organizations; and financing institutions.

Format

The Multistakeholder Briefing is organized by the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism, Global NCD Platform - on behalf of the WHO Secretariat.
