The WHF Roadmap for Reducing CV Morbidity and Mortality Through Prevention and Control of RHD

The World Heart Federation Roadmaps are central to its mission to address the global burden of cardiovascular disease. They provide comprehensive frameworks for countries and regions to identify key barriers as well as implement evidence-based policies and health system strategies to prevent premature cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

The WHF Roadmap on Rheumatic Heart Disease reviews the latest scientific evidence and offers guidance on priority interventions to reduce deaths and disabilities associated with rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries as well as indigenous peoples. The Roadmap is designed to serve as a foundation for the development of tailored national and regional plans of action to strengthen rheumatic heart disease prevention and control.
