Signature of the Letter of Agreement of the Platform with the Government of Mongolia

The signing ceremony for Mongolia’s Letter of Agreement to join the Global Platform for Access to childhood cancer medicines was held today /12-21-2023/ at the Ministry of Health. In December 2021, the WHO in collaboration with the St Jude Children's Research Hospital announced plans to establish a Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines to facilitate the provision of safe, effective and quality cancer medicines without financial hardship to children living with cancer in 50 low- and middle-income countries by 2027. Within the framework of this initiative, six countries, one from each of the six WHO regions, were initially selected. Up to 35 brand-name drugs that are essential for the treatment of childhood cancer will be supplied free of charge, and our country has been selected from 37 countries of the Western Pacific region of the World Health Organization.
