The World Cancer Leaders' Summit 2023 took place on 16-17 October, in Long Beach, CA, United States, and was hosted by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the American Cancer Society (ACS), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), MD Anderson Cancer Center and Stand Up To Cancer.

The theme of the WCLS 2023 was "Cancer control in a changing world"

The Summit is an initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and held in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The overall objective of the WHO Framework for Meaningful Engagement of People LIving with NCDs, Mental Health and Neurological Conditions is to support WHO and Members States in meaningful engagement of people living with NCDs, and mental health and neurological conditions to co-create and enhance related policies, programmes and services. This framework contributes to advancing understanding, knowledge and action on meaningful engagement and related participatory approaches from an evolving evidence base. It provides practical guidance and actions for transitioning from intention to action to operationalize meaningful engagement.
