International Childhood Cancer Day 2023: Showcasing Progress in CureAll Implementation

In the past four years WHO with the support of over 100 global partners has accelerated implementation in more than 65 countries across the six WHO regions. Through the implementation of the CureAll Framework Member States are progressing towards the Initiative’s objectives by:

  • Establishing centres of excellence for childhood cancer care improving quality in the delivery of care.
  • Expanding coverage through the inclusion of priority and cost-effective interventions for all children with cancer into Health Service packages;
  • Developing national standards of care for the management and guaranteeing reliable supplies of quality medicines and devices;
  • Strengthening cancer registries to support evidence-based policy and programme development;
  • Promoting innovation and research to assist countries as they scale up their capacities to provide quality services.

On February 15, 2023, WHO will convene representatives from Member States, official partners, childhood cancer survivors and other non-state actors to reflect on the current progress achieved globally through the implementation of CureAll Pillars and Enablers, to share best practices and lessons learned and to promote equity in the delivery of care for children facing cancer.
