Global Lessons for Health Tax Advocacy

Health taxes are a critical tool for addressing noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) while generating revenues to help countries improve their health and economic outcomes. This paper presents lessons from successful health tax advocacy campaigns addressing tobacco, sweetened beverages and ultra-processed products at the national, state/territorial and local levels in 32 countries.
