World Health Organization
The Global Coordination Mechanism on NCDs (WHO GCM/NCD, Global NCD Platform Department) and the Economics and Commercial Determinants programme of work (Department of Social Determinants) at the World Health Organization (WHO), and the School of Public Health at the Washington University are co-organizing the first global dialogue “Business for health: Finding business and public health convergence towards preventing and managing NCDs - Conversation with Deans of Business and Public Health Schools”.
Hosting deans and directors of business and public health schools, the dialogue aims to identify and spearhead practical steps to foster transformative change among academic leaders and their intuitions, disrupt siloed thinking, and equip future business leaders to prioritize health equity, societal impact, sustainability, and ethical decision-making alongside profitability and efficiency.
Outputs from the dialogue will inform a draft ‘intention to action statement’ and be presented at the Second General Meeting of the GCM/NCD in April 2025, to gather feedback, refine the proposed actions, and ensure alignment with the goals of all participating stakeholders.
Please note the dialogue is by invitation only and intended exclusively for deans and directors of business and public health schools.
