Advancing NCD Care in Humanitarian Settings Ahead of UNHLM 2025: WHA78 Side Event

This WHA side event will bring together high-level stakeholders to showcase collaborative approaches in advancing NCD care in emergencies, building on discussions from the GHLTM. It will also serve as a platform to strengthen partnerships and reinforce the call for a strong commitment leading up to the 2025 UNHLM.

By fostering collaboration, amplifying the voices of affected communities, and driving actionable commitments, this event seeks to break the cycle of neglect that leaves people with NCDs invisible during humanitarian crises. It reinforces the global pledge to resilience, and the principle that NCD care is a life-saving priority in all contexts—especially during emergencies.
