Are you an oncology professional or a cancer organization professional from a low- or middle-income country or other low-resource setting? Are you trying to establish or improve an oncology patient navigation program to help people access cancer diagnosis and treatment services more easily? Are you looking for best practices, resources, and tools that will support you in this effort? Are you looking to connect with others trying to do the same thing as you?
If so, you're in the right place!
The Building Expertise, Advocacy, and Capacity for Oncology Navigation (BEACON) Initiative is a global initiative of the American Cancer Society that supports health institutions and cancer organizations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and other relevant settings around the world focused on addressing health disparities in cancer care, in designing, implementing, and sustaining cancer patient navigation programs and supports the integration of patient navigation into cancer control planning and cancer care delivery.
Joining the BEACON Initiative means gaining free access to an online platform for learning and collaboration where you can use the resources in our Global Oncology Navigation Toolkit and become a part of a growing community of practitioners through the BEACON Community to share experiences, ideas, and the new resources you develop.
