Repository of multisectoral actions on NCDs and mental health conditions

Following a Members States request to document and analyze successful country initiatives in multisectoral government action for the prevention and control of NCDs, WHO in 2022 held a call for submissions to collect relevant experiences. This online repository features the 95 country experiences initially assessed as part of the global mapping report.

Multisectoral actions to strengthen the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases and mental health conditions

Some 46 countries responded to WHO’s 2022 call for submissions on how multisectoral action can be successfully incorporated into the prevention and control of NCDs and mental health conditions. Three out of four submissions were received from low- and middle-income countries.

The 95 experiences mapped in this repository include all submissions that met the inclusion criteria, as detailed in a dedicated guiding framework on multisectoral action for the prevention and control of NCDs and mental health conditions. Further data and additional insights are available in the global mapping report on multisectoral actions to strengthen the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases and mental health conditions.
