Webinar: ‘Empowering Communities to Take Control over Their Health and Well-being.’

The Enhanced Well-being Unit, Department of Health Promotion at WHO-HQ is hosting a webinar series on ‘’Empowering Communities to Take Control over Their Health and Well-being.’’

Join on Monday, July 31st from 14:00 – 16:00 CEST for the second webinar titled “Community Engagement for Addressing Commercial Determinants of Health’’. The webinar will be in English.

The launch of this webinar series is driven by the global health strategy that emphasizes the central role of people in achieving the health and well-being agenda. To translate global commitments into actions, empowering communities to play a greater role is crucial. 

The webinar series will bring together experts, practitioners, policy-makers, academia, and health officials across the globe to share their experiences, perspectives, and lessons on a wide range of community engagement practices applied to various determinants of well-being that include, among other things, universal health coverage/primary health care, commercial determinants of health, social protection, socio-economic determinants of health, climate change, digital literacy, and transformation.
