NCD Countdown 2030 is a collaborative effort from WHO, NCD Alliance, Imperial College, and The Lancet that provides an independent mechanism for countries to monitor their progress toward the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target 3.4—a one third reduction in premature mortality in people aged 30–70 years from the four major non-communicable diseases (NCDs; cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease, and diabetes). Published every two years, NCD Countdown 2030 provides country-specific baseline data and rates of decline in premature mortality against which countries can track their progress—and against which to hold them accountable.
