In June 2022 The George Institute for Global Health co-hosted a multi-day European Workshop with NCD Child on ‘Mental Health Advocacy and Action’.
The workshop report is now available. It showcases a diverse range of case studies that were presented during the workshop; covering the mental health impacts of climate change, and stigma, bias, and discrimination experienced by women during pregnancy. It also presents the outputs of a focus group discussion with people living with non-communicable diseases (PLWNCDs) in Europe. The recommendations were developed by workshop participants; advocates, policy advisors, students, researchers, and professionals working to reduce premature mortality from mental illnesses and suicide across Europe and globally.
It is the hope of The George Institute for Global Health and NCD Child that young people will benefit from the information and resources presented within the report.
